It has been less than a week since the first game of this NBA season, but there have already been a ton of very impressive performances! Here are some of the best ones:
Luka Doncic Vs. The Nets and Spurs:
Vs. Nets:
49 Points
10 Rebounds
7 Assists
64% of shots made
vs. Spurs:
33 Points
13 Rebounds
10 Assists
52% of shots made
As you can see, Luka Doncic is playing insanely well to start off the season! Luka has never won MVP before, but if he manages to keep playing like this for the rest of the season he will have a really good chance at it.
Nikola Jokic Vs. The Lakers:
29 Points
13 Rebounds
11 Assists
55% of shots made
Nikola Jokic is a 2x Former Most Valuable Player, and is he not showing any signs of slowing down. His first game of this season he recorded this impressive 29-point triple-double, which is the 106th triple-double of his career.
Devin Booker Vs. The Warriors:
32 Points
8 Assists
6 Rebounds
62% of shots made
Devin Booker has never won a championship or a Most Valuable Player award in his career, but it seems like either of these could also happen any year now. The Suns have other great players like Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, but so far Booker is playing the best.
Damian Lillard Vs. The 76ers:
39 Points
8 Rebounds
4 Assists
45% of shots made
After requesting a trade from the Trailblazers last season, Lillard is off to a nice start in Milwaukee with this performance.
Porzingis and Tatum Vs. The Knicks:
Jayson Tatum: 34 Points, 11 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 59% of shots made
Kristaps Porzingis: 30 Points, 8 Rebounds, 4 Blocks 53% of shots made
This was Kristaps Porzingis' first game as a Celtic and he certainly proved that he will be a positive contribution to the team. (This was also the most points by a player in a Celtics debut.) Tatum also played very well as usual.
Embiid and Maxey Vs. The Raptors:
Joel Embiid: 34 Points, 9 Rebounds, 8 Assists, 67% of shots made
Tyrese Maxey: 34 Points, 7 Assists, 6 Rebounds, 60% of shots made
Joel Embiid averaged around 30 points per game last season, while Tyrese Maxey averaged around 20. They are both off to a very good start this season with these impressive performances.
Steph Curry Vs. De'Aaron Fox:
Steph Curry:
41 Points
73% of shots made
4 Assists
4 Rebounds
De'Aaron Fox:
39 Points
50% of shots made
4 Assists
4 Rebounds
Warriors Vs. Kings was the most exciting matchup in last year's playoffs, and the star players from each team are definitely continuing to impress to start off this season! Steph Curry and De'Aaron Fox are 2 great players that are always exciting to watch, each scoring around 40 points on efficient shooting in this matchup!
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Vs. The Bulls:
31 Points
10 Rebounds
5 Rebounds
67% of shots made
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, last year's most improved player, is continuing to impress with a very nice first game of the season.
Zach Lavine Vs. The Pistons:
51 Points
59% of shots made
4 Rebounds
Zach Lavine scored a new career-high 51 points this game, but the Bulls still lost by 16 points.
This was all in the last week, so it looks like we are in for an exciting season!
Where is week 2?
