Suns:
The Suns had fairly high expectations for the playoffs as they have multiple star players on the team. The team has had great players like Devin Booker and Chris Paul for multiple years now and this season they even got the addition of 13x All-Star Kevin Durant. Even with the Sun's impressive roster, the team was still eliminated in the conference semi-finals, just like last year.
Despite being eliminated in this series, the Suns played fairly well in the playoffs, defeating the Clippers in round 1, and winning 2 games against the No. 1 seed Nuggets this series.
Devin Booker specifically was amazing in the playoffs, averaging over 35 points, 5 Rebounds, and 5 Assists per game, while making over 50% of his shots.
Even though Booker and the Suns played well they were still unable to defeat former MVP Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.
Nuggets:
The Nuggets ended the season with the best record in the Western Conference, while the Suns ended with the 4th best. The Nuggets were able to win the series against the Suns largely due to the very impressive performances of former MVP Nikola Jokic, who averaged a 30-point triple-double, as well as Jamal Murray who has been playing even better than he did in the regular season.
In this series:

Nikola Jokic Averaged:
34.5 Points
13.2 Rebounds
10.3 Assists
59.4% of shots made
Jamal Murray Averaged:
24.8 Points
4,8 Rebounds
6.5 Assists
45.2% of shots made
The Nuggets will now advance to play the winner of the Warriors/Lakers series in the conference finals.
