NBA Players Who Have Their Own Charities

In honor of Thanksgiving let's take a look at some NBA players who give back to the community through their own charities:

LeBron James - The LeBron James Family Foundation

Lebron James is involved in a number of different charitable activities through the LeBron James Family Foundation. This foundation focuses on education and has done things such as creating the "I PROMISE School" in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The school is completely free and is aimed at at-risk students who are falling behind in their education. The school also provides other additional support to students including food, family support, transportation, and housing. Additionally, graduating students are guaranteed tuition-free college.

Since starting, the foundation has raised over $47 million to serve Oakland kids and families, including delivering more than 25 million meals, investing $6 million+ in tutoring/reading programs, renovating 11 school and community play spaces, and more.
