Jalen Brunson Career High 48 Points in Knicks Win

Jalen Brunson, who had missed multiple games due to a hand injury, just set a new career-high of 48 points in the Knicks' victory over Cleveland in only his second game back.

This was the Knicks' first game without Julius Randle, who will miss at least 2 weeks due to an ankle injury. With the absence of Randle, the Knicks needed someone else to lead the offense, which Jalen Brunson certainly did. Brunson who averages 23.6 points per game, scored 33 points in just the first half. This was the most points by a Knick in a half since Carmelo Anthony in 2014.

Brunson ended the game with:

48 Points

9 assists

4 Rebounds

56.25% of shots made

58.3% of 3's made

After many critics said that he was "overpaid" by the Knicks, Jalen Brunson continues to prove just how great of a player he is. This 48-point game was the most points by a Knick point guard in the last 60 years and was also Brunson's 4th 40-point game of the season. Brunson has been a great all-around player averaging 23.6 Points, 6.1 Assists, and 3.5 Rebounds, while making 49% of his shots.

Overall, Brunson has been a great addition to the Knicks and It will be exciting to see how he does in his first playoff games with the team.
