The NBA trade deadline is today and there have already been a bunch of trades. One being Bojan Bogdanovic to the Knicks!
Full trade details:
Knicks get:
Alec Burks
Bojan Bogdanovic
Pistons get:
Evan Fournier
Malachi Flynn
Quentin Grimes
Ryan Arcidiacono
Two future second-round picks

Alec Burks played for the Knicks in the 2021-22 season and now he is back. Burks is a decent scorer off the bench shooting 40% from 3 but his overall shooting percentage is down to 39%.
Bojan Bogdanovic is the main part of this trade. He was a starter for the Detroit Pistons (before he was injured). This season he is averaging 20 Points, 3.4 Rebounds, and 2.5 Assists, while making 47% of his shots and 40% of his 3-point attempts. Bogdanovic is a very solid player and he should definitely be able to help get the Knicks some scoring off the bench.
No surprise that Fournier was traded as he has basically got no playing time this year. He was actually a really good player at times for the Knicks a few years ago, so hopefully the Pistons will actually give him a chance. (They most likely will since they are currently the worst team in the league)
Malachi Flynn was just traded to the Knicks recently and he hasn't played much, so losing him doesn't affect the team very much.
Quentin Grimes has had some great moments with the Knicks, but many people expected that he might be involved in a trade. He was known for his 3-pointers and defense, but the Knicks still have OG Anunoby and Donte DiVincenzo who play pretty similar roles.
Ryan Arcidiacono barely got playing time for the Knicks and was basically just the guy that the coach put in when the team was winning or losing by 30 points with 1 minute left. It is still pretty unfortunate that the Knicks had to trade him because he really helped with team chemistry. On the Knicks, he was teammates with college teammates and great friends Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart. Being on the same team as these guys made for some really funny moments and certainly helped raise team spirit. Hopefully, the Pistons will actually give him a chance.
It is really good that the Knicks only had to give up two second-round picks in this, as they now have 11 first-round picks over the next few years which will likely be used as part of trying to acquire a star player.
The Knicks didn't have to give up too much in this trade and it should definitely help improve their bench unit. Overall, it seems like this could be a very solid trade but we will have to wait and see how well Bogdanovic and Burks play.
Other trades today include:
Gordon Hayward traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder
Dennis Schroder traded to the Brooklyn Nets
Spencer Dinwiddie traded to the Toronto Raptors
Buddy Hield traded to the Philadelphia 76ers
Daniel Gafford traded to the Dallas Mavericks
Kelly Olynyk traded to the Toronto Raptors
PJ Washington traded to the Dallas Mavericks
Grant Williams traded to the Charlotte Hornets
There will likely be a few more trades in the next few hours.
